FOREST
SCHOOL

Education from Love
An alternative education to shape integral human beings
What is Forest School
The families within AMBI Community have come together to drive our own educational project in a Homeschooling format, stepping away from traditional schooling to learn how to educate from a place of consciousness and respect for who we are as human beings, within a natural space and at home.

At AMBI Forest School, we harness the complete harmony of physical space with nature to facilitate processes of learning and healing for individuals. Understanding that various artistic expressions and body movement bring profound connections and subtler experiences, we, alongside the material, work with energy and vibration for harmonious outcomes.

This home-based educational approach integrates us, parents, seeking a shift in our children's education, aiming to continue nurturing from the very core, the human being, in harmony with the family as the fundamental nucleus of our education. It's a path filled with virtues, values, and attitudes.
Our Philosophy
The greatest human beings owe much more to a teacher than to an institution. Every great teacher is not only someone who largely educates themselves but also encapsulates the knowledge of an era and a culture. In the secret laboratory that is an individual's spirit, the wisdom of an era and a culture is often condensed, ready to be passed on to all humanity.

We came to this earthly plane to teach and learn. It's not an obligation imposed by human beings; it's a natural process that arises from thought, words, and actions, born from the soul. We perceive the human being as a unity formed by spirit, soul, and physical body. AMBI Forest School focuses on nurturing free beings capable of developing their sensitivity, engaging in various activities that allow for self-expression.

Artistic expressions, crafts, woodworking, weaving, music, agriculture, construction, theater, and reading are as important to us as mathematics, astrology, languages, chemistry, and physics. Through practical learning, students acquire tools for solving situations, employing both logic and intuition. This reflects in the confidence and independence with which they face the world, enabling them to identify their qualities and, above all, what they enjoy and what makes them happy."

Methodology
So, as committed parents to our children's education, as well as friends and neighbors, we believe that through our professions and abilities, we can organize and coordinate a pedagogical model that involves the basic knowledge areas for each school year according to the requirements of the DBA (Developmental Benchmarks of Abilities).

Our purpose also extends to establishing significant connections between children and the community through alternative workshops that draw upon the diverse knowledge possessed by the participants of the project.

This facilitates the transfer of both ancestral and acquired knowledge, fostering appreciation for local resources and empowering the community in the education of its children and youth.A fundamental characteristic of our methodology is the ability to integrate knowledge through play and experimentation, creating a fun, flexible, and easily digestible language for learning.
Knowledge Inventory
Through an analysis of the context, we've identified within each of the parents involved in the project, as well as among other members of the AMBI Community, capacities and aptitudes that allow for the development of activities. In this initial stage for our children, we believe these activities are suitable for meeting their needs, while maintaining an interest in identifying and listening to the emerging needs in the children along the way.

These activities include: painting, weaving, music, cooking, dance, poetry, physical expression, sports, modeling, agriculture, acrobatics, design and construction, architecture for consciousness, biology, mathematics, literacy, history, geography, exploration and knowledge of the territory, medicine, and herbal therapy
